My Tam appeared for the first time in "Ho do 2024" after many missed appointments.

Following the success of previous seasons, the 4th Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival - Ho Do 2024 officially returns. The program is jointly organized by the Organizing Committee for Major Holidays of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center.

At the introduction event held on the morning of October 15, the organizers revealed the artists participating in the program. Accordingly, singer My Tam was announced to participate in "Ho do 2024" as the main performer.

Talking about My Tam's participation, musician Huy Tuan - General Director of "Ho do 2024" - said that the organizers had been waiting for My Tam's participation for quite a while. In previous seasons, the unit had invited her but the "brown-haired nightingale" could not attend due to her busy schedule.

Musician Huy Tuan added: "For us, My Tam is one of the top artists in Vietnam, it can be said that she is the representative face of the entertainment industry over the past decade, even more.

I think there is no better representative than My Tam when standing next to international artists. Not only My Tam, the appearance of the band Hoai Sa is also something to look forward to."

According to the organizers, in addition to domestic artists, the event also brings together international stars from countries with vibrant music industries such as the US, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, etc. In addition, the event also features the appearance of famous Korean idols, who are highly anticipated by many young audiences.

When asked if the organizers set a criterion of "clean" private life, free from noise and scandal when choosing artists to participate in the program, Huy Tuan affirmed that the artists participating in the program are all reputable and mature in their careers. However, he also believes that the audience should have a more tolerant view of artists who have made mistakes in the past.

The musician shared: "The development process of young artists inevitably includes stumbling, because everyone in life makes mistakes. Therefore, I think we should have a more tolerant view of young artists. If they truly realize their mistakes and return with quality products with a positive attitude, we should also be more lenient with their mistakes.

However, this also reflects that the music industry needs more even development, not only in terms of talent but also in terms of human management. The team behind each artist also plays a very important role."

Talking about the challenges of organizing "Ho do 2024" in the context of many music festivals blooming, musician Huy Tuan said that this is a good sign for Vietnamese music.

However, the musician emphasized that he is not pressured by the level of competition between music festivals, because he believes that "Ho do" is completely different due to its identity factor.

"The participation of many international artists in "Ho do" has shown the rich musical picture of the program. With trendy music festivals, I fully support them but also worry because they are under pressure from ticket sales.

"Ho do" is a community program, creating opportunities for all people to participate. We still consider trends for the program, but still maintain our own unique features with a unique performance," musician Huy Tuan shared.

"Ho do 2024" will take place over 3 months with the "Ho do Inspiration" competition nights taking place on October 25, October 26 and November 24. After that, 3 official performances will be held consecutively on December 13-15 in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
