Some developments related to the Russia-Ukraine war:
Russia redeploys more troops to Kursk
Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the Russian military has transferred forces from other fronts where they are conducting offensive operations to Kursk.
“ We know that about 50,000 troops from other areas have been redeployed to the Kursk front ,” Mr. Syrskyi said.
The commander-in-chief stressed that these actions of Russia have weakened its forces in other areas of the Ukrainian battlefield, especially on the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Kramatorsk fronts.
“ This makes it easier for us to carry out defensive operations ,” Mr. Syrskyi stressed.
America does not want to aid Ukraine
US House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that he no longer wants to provide aid to Ukraine and is looking forward to Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election, because he is the one who is capable of resolving the conflict.

“ I don’t want to continue to give aid to Ukraine and I hope I don’t have to. If President Trump wins, I believe he can end the conflict. I think Trump will call President Putin and say ‘enough is enough’. I think people around the world are tired of this conflict, want it resolved, ” Johnson said.
He is confident that if Democratic candidate Kamala Harris becomes US President, the conflict will not end. “It is a desperate and dangerous scenario,” the Speaker of the House said.
Statements by the West and Ukraine about negotiations are meaningless
Military expert Alexei Leonkov said that the West and Ukraine are talking about holding peace talks, forgetting that it is impossible to talk to Russia in the language of force. Moreover, Russia itself has repeatedly tried to resolve the conflict.
“ Ukraine tried to provoke Russia into using tactical nuclear weapons in order to then discredit it in the eyes of the world community. Now Ukraine has changed its tactics, it is playing the role of a mediator and will call on Russia to negotiate. If Russia does not follow these plans, it will be accused of aggression, ” Leonkov commented.
According to him, the West will continue its policy of discrediting Russia, but the country should continue to work towards achieving the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine.
At the same time, the military expert added, Russia is indifferent to Zelensky's views on the Ukrainian conflict, because if negotiations take place, they will be conducted with Western countries, in particular with the United States. However, the expert noted, so far the Biden administration is not ready to do that.
Ukraine gets additional military aid package
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that he and three European countries will provide an additional $1.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine by the end of this year.
“ With the support of our partners Belgium, Denmark and Norway, by the end of the year we will provide another aid package worth $1.5 billion to Ukraine ,” Chancellor Scholz said at a joint press conference before talks with President Zelensky in Berlin.
The new aid package will include IRIS-T, Skynex, Gepard air defense systems, along with artillery, armor, UAVs, radars and ammunition.
“ This is a clear message to President Putin: Dilution will not work. We will not reduce our support for Ukraine ,” Mr. Scholz stressed.
