According to Reuters, on February 28, National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson Adrienne Watson said that President Joe Biden had affirmed that the United States would not deploy troops to Ukraine.
According to the NSC spokesperson, the only American military personnel present in Ukraine are those stationed at the US embassy in Kyiv, solely to account for the weapons supplied to Ukraine.
Both the White House and the State Department have affirmed that their top priority now is to urge Congress to approve new military aid for Ukraine.
In related developments, the Eastern European countries of the Visegrad Group (V4 - comprising the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary) have all stated that they have no plans to send troops to Ukraine.
