According to Reuters news agency, on February 28, National Security Council (NSC) spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said that President Joe Biden affirmed that the US will not deploy troops to Ukraine.
According to the NSC spokesman, the only US military personnel present in Ukraine are those at the US embassy in Kiev, only to perform the task of explaining the weapons provided to Ukraine.
The White House and the US State Department have both said their top priority now is to call on Congress to approve new military aid to Ukraine.
In a related development, Eastern European countries in the Visegrad Group (V4 - including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) all announced that they have no plans to send troops to Ukraine.
