On March 26, Saudi Arabia’s Arab News reported that at least five B-2 stealth bombers had been deployed to Diego Garcia, a British military base used by the US in the Indian Ocean. More are believed to be on their way to the area.

Meanwhile, the landing of seven C-17 transport aircraft at Diego Garcia shows that the US has transported equipment, personnel, supplies and refueling aircraft to strategic locations.

In addition, the Pentagon recently ordered the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier strike group to extend its deployment in the Red Sea by another month. A second aircraft carrier group led by the USS Carl Vinson is also heading to the Middle East.

According to Arab News , this is an unusual increase in military hardware and is probably a sign that the US is planning a major attack on Houthi positions in Yemen. In addition, the US may be looking to send a strong message to Iran.

On March 26, US President Donald Trump also revealed that Washington plans to continue airstrikes on Houthi rebels.

"The strikes have been very successful, even beyond our wildest expectations. We have struck very hard, very successfully, and will continue to do so for a long time," the US leader said at the White House, TASS news agency reported.

On March 15, the United States began carrying out major strikes on Houthi facilities in Yemen under orders from President Donald Trump. The goal, the US Central Command said, was to protect US interests and restore freedom of navigation.

In response, the Houthi movement twice attacked the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea, using missiles and drones. There were no reports of damage to the ship.
