Images considered offensive in Ali Hoang Duong's labeled MV - Screenshot
Ali Hoang Duong released the MV Don't Say It... on August 18. By the afternoon of August 20, the MV attracted more than 102,000 views and 1,650 comments.
Labeled 18+ but still criticized
It must be said that Ali Hoang Duong's MV has an age limit warning label for viewers over 18 years old at the beginning of the product. That shows the artist's awareness and initiative when releasing a product with 18+ images.
Collaborating with producers Nimbia and Kien Ung, Ali Hoang Duong's MV "Don't Say It" has an electro pop style with youthful, vibrant melodies on an electronic background, mixed with a bit of the music of the 1980s and 1990s.
After becoming the champion of The Voice Vietnam in 2017, Ali Hoang Duong still has not emerged as a prominent name in the music industry.
He also lacks a solid musical product to establish his name.
He is still considered to have a safe musical mindset and lack of innovation. Don't Say... is considered a product that marks the singer's efforts to transform and "break out of the cocoon".
MV is heavily invested, taking care of the visuals.
However, the MV has many scenes of skin contact, the male character is shirtless, the female character is wearing nude clothes, strapless tops, and sexy fishnet stockings.
In some frontal or top-down shots, the two main characters have positions that suggest "bed scenes".
Some people think these scenes are offensive, unnecessary, and do not affect the idea or story line that the MV wants to tell.

Ali Hoang Duong is currently participating in Anh trai say hi - one of the two hottest game shows at the moment (the other game show is Anh trai vu ngan cong gai ).
There is leaked information that he will be one of the brothers who will have to "leave" after Live Stage 4.
Many artists have been "whistled"
Before Ali Hoang Duong, there were many music products that, after being released, received harsh reactions from public opinion because they contained 18+ scenes, intentionally caused shock, attracted views, had content and images that went against the values, social ethics and customs of Vietnam.
Among them, there were products that were whistled and examined by the Department of Performing Arts. Huong Giang's MV "Em khong hoi toi" (I don't regret) was forced to re-edit the entire MV, cutting out 50% of the sensitive scenes to give it a 16+ rating instead of 18+ as before.
Rapper Chi Ca was fined 35 million VND by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism because of the rap song Censored which has shocking lyrics about the father-in-law - daughter-in-law relationship.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also fined the organizer of the Spacespeakers live concert - The Kosmic 110 million VND and suspended its operations for 18 months due to many violations, including using costumes, images, sounds, and performance movements that go against public morality.
Most recently, Coldzy's song Fever (featuring tlinh) was accused of having sexually suggestive lyrics and not labeling the age of the listener.
