Mr. Tran Van Phu (owner of a flower and ornamental plant garden in Kim Phuc) said that for flower and ornamental plant growers, Tet (Lunar New Year) is the time when they supply the largest quantity to the market and also the time that brings the highest income of the year. Currently, he has imported nearly 30 types of flowers and ornamental plants to his garden to serve the Tet flower season. The flowers are sourced from all over the North, Central, and South of Vietnam. "Normally, there are only 1-2 workers. But during Tet, the goods arrive continuously, so we have to hire an additional 4-5 people to work by the hour or seasonally. The wages are paid depending on the nature of the work," Mr. Phu shared.
