
Through the Film Week, the People's Army Cinema hopes to propagate to cadres, soldiers and people the significance, stature and great historical value of the Great Spring Victory of 1975, affirming the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, the spirit of great national unity and revolutionary tradition, thereby raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people, especially the young generation, to uphold the spirit of patriotism, independence and self-reliance, the will to fight and win.
The works selected for screening during the film week on the theme of armed forces and revolutionary war were produced by the People's Army Cinema and domestic film studios, aiming to encourage and motivate officers, soldiers and people of the entire army and people to promote their traditions and aspirations to contribute to building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new situation.

There are 8 films selected to be shown on this occasion, including 4 documentaries "Joining Big Hands", "Under One Roof", "Awakening and Resolving", "The Chosen Path: Episode 19 - Unifying the Country"; 4 feature films "Spring Rain Dance", "Road Through the Forest", "Who Flows Through the Rivers", "The Scent of Burning Grass".

The film week will take place at the headquarters of the People's Army Cinema (17 Ly Nam De, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). The opening ceremony of the film week will be held at 7:00 p.m. on April 22. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first screenings will feature two outstanding films: the documentary "Joining Hands" (screenwriter Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Hiep, director Pham Hong Thang) conveying the message of great national unity - the core value that leads the country to victory; the feature film "Vu Khuc Mua Xuan" (screenwriter Nguyen Thu Dung, director Dang Thu Trang) praising the country's vitality and beauty after the war.
