At the Asian Women's Volleyball Cup last year in Thailand, Vietnamese women's volleyball participated with 2 representatives, LPBank Ninh Binh team and Duc Giang Chemical Club. In the 24th season, the Asian Women's Volleyball Cup had the participation of 8 teams, divided into 2 round-robin groups to select 4 teams for the semi-finals. With the excellence of Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, LPBank Ninh Binh team won the right to enter the final, winning the runner-up title when losing to Japanese team NEC Red Rockets. Previously in 2023, Vietnamese volleyball sent a team called Sport Center 1 to participate in the Asian Women's Volleyball Cup and excellently won the championship.

The 2025 Asian Volleyball Cup has officially changed its name to AVC Women's Champions League, and the organizers have also increased the number of participants to 12 teams, divided into 4 groups to compete in a round-robin to select the first and second-placed teams in each group (a total of 8 teams) to enter the quarterfinals. Notably, as the host, the Philippines has 3 participating clubs: Creamline Cool Smashers, Petro Gazz Angles and PLDT High Speed Hitters. According to the draw results, the defending champion of Vietnamese women's volleyball, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club, is in Group C with Chinese representative Beijing BAIC Motor and Saipa Tehran Club (Iran). The candidates predicted to compete for the championship this season, in addition to VTV Binh Dien Long An Club and Beijing BAIC Motor, are also Nakhon Ratchasima QminC Club (Thailand), Kaohsiung Taipower (Taiwan), while the 3 host representatives are unknowns.

In their first participation in the Asian Women's Volleyball Cup, VTV Binh Dien Long An team set a high goal. Therefore, in addition to keeping two foreign players, Natalia Lijewska (Poland), Lianet Garcia Anglada (Cuba), and adding Vi Thi Nhu Quynh from Quang Ninh Club, VTV Binh Dien Long An team also invited the number 1 hitter of Vietnamese women's volleyball, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen. However, Bich Tuyen's management unit said that because the 2025 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup takes place at the same time as the Vietnamese women's volleyball team gathers, the club's top priority is to create conditions for her to perform her duties on the team.

Thus, it is likely that VTV Binh Dien Long An Club will participate in the 2025 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup without Bich Tuyen. Coach Thai Quang Lai also lost a player when Nguyen Thi Tra My was injured in the recent Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup. However, this team is somewhat reassured when Vi Thi Nhu Quynh replaces her. In addition, the team also has quality domestic players who have played for the national team for many years such as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Nguyen Khanh Dang.

Thanh Thuy is gradually regaining her form after her injury. Khanh Dang is still proving his ability to be the number 1 libero of Vietnamese women's volleyball. The current problem of VTV Binh Dien Long An team is the connection between positions, especially between setter Kim Thoa and foreign players. At the recent Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup, the girls of VTV Binh Dien Long An were highly rated but played without cohesion, leading to their defeat to the Information Corps team in the semi-finals. To fly high in this Asian Volleyball Cup, the team from Long An needs to quickly improve their weaknesses in both attack and defense coordination.
