Labor Medal Bonus Level 2023
Individuals who are awarded or posthumously awarded medals of all types will be awarded Certificates and Medals along with the following bonus amounts:
- First class Labor Medal: 9.0 times the basic salary.
- Second class Labor Medal: 7.5 times the basic salary.
- Third-class Labor Medal: 4.5 times the basic salary.
The basic salary until June 30, 2023 is 1,490,000 VND (according to Decree 38/2019/ND-CP)
The basic salary from July 1, 2023 is 1,800,000 VND (according to Decree 24/2023/ND-CP)
Thus, the Labor Medal bonus level in 2023 is as follows:

Conditions for awarding the Labor Medal
1. Conditions for awarding the First Class Labor Medal
- The First Class Labor Medal is awarded or posthumously awarded to individuals who are exemplary in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws and meet one of the following criteria:
+ Having been awarded the Second Class Labor Medal and continuously achieving outstanding achievements with influence and setting an example nationwide for the next 5 years or having a long-term dedication to agencies, organizations and unions;
+ Having outstanding achievements or inventions, innovations, and initiatives that have been applied effectively and have a nationwide influence; having outstanding scientific works or works at the state level; for workers, farmers, and laborers, having inventions, innovations, and initiatives that have been applied effectively in practice and recognized by ministries, branches, and central organizations.
- First-class Labor Medal is awarded to collectives that meet one of the following criteria:
+ Achieve outstanding achievements with influence and set an example nationwide;
+ Awarded the Second Class Labor Medal and continuously completed excellent tasks for the next 5 years; internal solidarity, exemplary compliance with the Party's policies and the State's laws.

2. Conditions for awarding the Second Class Labor Medal
- Second-class Labor Medal is awarded or posthumously awarded to individuals who are exemplary in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws and meet one of the following criteria:
+ Having been awarded the Third Class Labor Medal and continuously achieving outstanding achievements with influence and setting an example in ministries, branches, provinces, centrally-run cities, central organizations or having a long-term dedication in agencies, organizations, and organizations;
+ Having outstanding achievements or inventions, innovations that have been applied effectively in ministries, branches, provinces, centrally-run cities, and central organizations; having outstanding scientific works or works at the ministerial, branch, provincial, or central organization level; for workers, farmers, and laborers whose inventions, innovations, and innovations have been applied practically and effectively and have been recognized by the provincial level.
- Second-class Labor Medal is awarded to collectives that meet one of the following criteria:
+ Achieve outstanding achievements with influence and set an example in ministries, branches, provinces and centrally-run cities;
+ Awarded the third-class "Labor Medal" and continuously completed excellent tasks for the next 5 years; internal solidarity, exemplary compliance with the Party's policies and the State's laws.

3. Conditions for awarding the Third Class Labor Medal
- Third-class Labor Medal is awarded or posthumously awarded to individuals who are exemplary in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws and meet one of the following criteria:
+ Having made outstanding achievements with influence and setting an example in the field of ministries, branches, provinces, centrally run cities, central organizations or having a long-term dedication in agencies, organizations, and organizations;
+ Having outstanding achievements or scientific and artistic works, having initiatives that are evaluated as excellent by the Ministry or Provincial Science Council, applied in practice with high efficiency and practicality; for workers, farmers, and laborers with outstanding achievements in production or having initiatives that have been applied in practice with efficiency and recognized by the district level.
- Third-class Labor Medal is awarded to collectives that meet one of the following criteria:
+ Having achieved outstanding results with influence and setting an example in the fields of ministries, branches, provinces, centrally run cities, and central organizations;
+ Awarded the "Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister" and continuously completed excellent tasks for the next 5 years; internal solidarity, exemplary compliance with the Party's policies and the State's laws; having a process of construction and development of 10 years or more.
