The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue said that due to the impact of prolonged heavy rains, many localities in the districts of Lak, Krong Ana, Ea Sup, and Krong Bong were flooded, causing great damage to production and infrastructure.
Specifically: 1 house collapsed, 12 houses had their roofs blown off, more than 100 houses were flooded; 7,566 hectares of various crops were flooded (including: 6,378 hectares of rice, 1,076 hectares of corn and various crops, 112 hectares of perennial trees); more than 700 poultry were swept away and some aquaculture ponds were flooded.

Regarding irrigation: more than 16 km of canals were damaged; Team 4 reservoir (Ia R've commune, Ea Sup district) was seriously eroded, with a high risk of dam safety loss; Dak Huar reservoir (Ea Huar commune, Buon Don district) had many water-filled holes and mud on the dam surface and many places were damaged; about 30 m of the Krong Na river bank (Buon Triet commune, Lak district) was eroded, with water overflowing the banks.
Regarding traffic: nearly 7 km of roads were flooded, damaged and eroded. The most serious of these was National Highway 14 (the route bypassing the center of Ea Drang town, Ea H'leo district) which suffered a negative slope erosion, leading to local subsidence of about 35 m; National Highway 14C (the section from village 8, La R've commune, through Ia Lop commune, Ea Sup district) was deeply flooded for many days, and the extent of the damage has not yet been assessed.

According to local assessments, preliminary damage estimated as of August 6 is about 156 billion VND.
To promptly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Department of Finance to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and related units to arrange funds to restore production and essential infrastructure, with nearly 23.6 billion VND; report to the Government, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, and central ministries and branches to consider and support over 94.3 billion VND to overcome the consequences of floods.
