According to the People's Committee of Lang Chanh mountainous district, the construction of a two-story classroom building (8 classrooms) and auxiliary works of Lam Phu Secondary School, Lam Phu commune, started in August 2023, and to date the construction progress has reached over 80%.

Due to heavy rain that lasted for more than a week, a landslide occurred on the positive slope, a large amount of earth and rock fell onto the construction site, tilting the row of houses forward.

Many places on the wall have cracks 5-7cm wide; some columns are bent and broken. On the left side of the first floor, two classrooms have rocks and soil falling down, causing part of the wall to collapse, posing a safety risk to students.
