MU does not rule out the possibility of selling Casemiro soon
Manchester United officials are working on a plan to strengthen their squad, with defensive midfielder Youssouf Fofana being one of the targets. This is believed to be a sports project proposed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, although the negotiation process to buy 25% of MU shares has not been approved by the Glazer family.
Fofana is the captain of Monaco. He just scored his first goal for the French team in the 14-0 win over Gibraltar, in the EURO 2024 qualifiers. MU does not rule out the possibility of selling Casemiro soon, who has been injured and has declined rapidly recently. Fofana is considered the ideal replacement.
Fofana's contract with Monaco runs until 2025. MU believes they can reach an agreement to sign the 24-year-old French player for around 40 million Euros next summer.
Liverpool prepare to say goodbye to Thiago Alcantara
Liverpool have begun talks with Man City over a possible transfer of Kalvin Phillips in January 2024. Kalvin Phillips will join Man City in 2022, after a breakout spell with Leeds United and a stellar campaign at EURO 2020.
However, the journey at the Etihad Stadium has not gone as expected. Kalvin Phillips is only on the bench and the chance to go to EURO 2024 with him is in danger.
Many big clubs from England to Europe have been continuously approaching Philipps in recent times. The 27-year-old player has also expressed his desire to leave to play regularly. Liverpool are preparing to part ways with Thiago Alcantara. Jurgen Klopp wants Kalvin Phillips to strengthen his midfield, competing for the Premier League title as well as the Europa League.
Van de Beek says goodbye to MU
Donny van de Beek is likely to leave English football in the winter transfer window, as he has no place at MU and has not received any reasonable offers.
According to the British press, Galatasaray is one of the candidates capable of recruiting the Dutch midfielder.
Galatasaray have been successful in recruiting players from major leagues, such as Zaha, Angelino, Mauro Icardi, Lucas Torreira. From these successes, the Turkish team aimed at Van de Beek as a solution to add diversity to their playing style.
Galatasaray are competing for the top spot in the Turkish league with Fenerbahce, with both teams having 31 points after 12 rounds. They are also MU's main rivals in the race for a Champions League knockout ticket.
