Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo suspended from Arsenal clash

Martinez, who joined United in the summer of 2022 under coach Erik Ten Hag for a fee of £57m, is a beloved player at Old Trafford, despite missing much of last season through injury.

According to TalkSPORT, if Real Madrid continue to pursue Martinez, MU may decide to sell this center-back in January. The Spanish Royal team is looking for a replacement for veteran center-backs David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger, and Martinez is one of the targets that coach Carlo Ancelotti and Real scouts are monitoring.

The United board could agree to sell Martinez in a surprise deal if a suitable offer comes in. It is expected that United will reinvest the proceeds from Martinez's sale into other deals, as requested by new manager Ruben Amorim. Young talents such as Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo are prioritized by United, but the team is also willing to listen to offers for other players to ensure compliance with Premier League financial regulations.

In addition to Martinez, Real Madrid are also interested in another MU star, Diogo Dalot. The team is said to be willing to spend 45 million pounds to recruit the Portuguese defender. However, it is still unclear how much Real Madrid will offer for Martinez. MU can ask for a fee equivalent to 57 million pounds, the amount they paid Ajax to recruit Martinez two years ago.
