MU continuously "clashes" Liverpool
MU continues to be "sabotaged" by Liverpool in two recently mentioned deals, Benjamin Pavard and Ryan Gravenberch, both from Bayern Munich.
Coach Erik ten Hag is said to be targeting versatile defender Pavard to strengthen the defense and will deploy it immediately after MU sells Harry Maguire.
The player himself is said to have told Bayern that he will not renew his contract (only 1 year left) and wants to move to MU in this summer transfer.
However, Liverpool are reported to have stepped in to 'sabotage', with Jurgen Klopp himself calling the 27-year-old star and trying to change his mind, instead of going to Old Trafford, he should join Anfield.
Not only this deal, most recently 2 Premier League clubs are also said to be 'fighting' each other for Ryan Gravenberch. According to Sportitalia, both MU and Liverpool are serious about signing a contract with the 21-year-old midfielder.
Ryan Gravenberch was Ten Hag's pupil at Ajax. However, Liverpool have the advantage of 'having more money', and according to Bild, Thiago Alcantara could be swapped in a deal with Bayern for the Dutchman.
MU cannot currently make any further purchases due to financial fair play restrictions. They need to sell before making any further purchases in the summer transfer window.
Man City postpones signing of Lucas Paqueta
Sky Sports reports that Man City have postponed the signing of midfielder Lucas Paqueta from West Ham.
Last week, the Premier League champions made a £70m bid for Paqueta, but West Ham rejected the offer and demanded a fee in excess of £80m for the Brazil international.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said Pep Guardiola's side are "trying again" to see if they can lure Paqueta to the Etihad.
However, according to the latest update from Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol: "Man City's recruitment of midfielder Paqueta from West Ham is delayed. The situation can change but there is a 90% chance that a deal will not happen at this time."
Paqueta has an £85m buyout clause but it will only be activated next summer. Manager David Moyes is said to be reluctant to sell him now, feeling there is not enough time to sign a suitable replacement.
Raphael Varane lured to Saudi Pro League
Sports Zone reported that Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad club has contacted MU center back Raphael Varane about playing in the Saudi Pro League.
It is reported that two compatriots, Benzema and N'Golo Kante, have arrived at Al Ittihad first, and are trying to lure Varane to play for the club in the Middle Eastern country.
However, the good news for MU and Erik ten Hag is that Raphael Varane is said to have refused because he still wants to play football in Europe for at least another year.
Varane was the one who scored the only goal for MU in the opening match, winning 1-0 against Wolves in the 2023/24 Premier League.
The French centre-back joined MU from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 and still has a contract until 2026.
