During the past term, the My Tu District Fatherland Front Committee has made efforts and determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, strengthen coordination with authorities at all levels and member organizations to successfully implement the goals and tasks in the Program of coordination and unified action set forth by the District Fatherland Front Congress.
Notably, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district has participated very well in propaganda and mobilization of people's consensus in implementing key projects and works, creating consensus among people in site clearance and early handover of sites to construction units. Especially the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project passing through the area, and projects to expand and upgrade roads in the district.
During the past term, from the province's "For the Poor" Fund and from mobilized and socialized sources, the district Fatherland Front has built 951 houses and repaired 123 houses for poor households, households with difficulties and housing concerns. In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district has mobilized over 14.8 billion VND to build and repair 149 gratitude houses, mobilized to give 27,712 gifts to policy families and meritorious people on holidays, Tet, etc.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Duong Sa Kha - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province congratulated, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the district during the past term.
At the same time, Mr. Duong Sa Kha hopes that in the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district will continue to promote the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development". Hopefully, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the district, sectors and levels will always pay more attention and support so that the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district can have dynamic, creative, innovative and effective activities, contributing to gathering more and more people from all walks of life in the great national unity bloc.
“Excited about the achievements in the past term, we also frankly and seriously acknowledge that, in addition to the limitations mentioned in the Report, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district also have some limitations, which need to be focused on and improved in the next term. I suggest that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district in the new term must have fundamental and specific solutions to overcome the limitations and weaknesses that were seriously assessed and acknowledged in the past term. Only then will the shortcomings and shortcomings not be repeated in the next term, so that the work of the district Front will be increasingly effective and practical”, Mr. Duong Sa Kha noted.
The 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of My Tu district, term 2024 - 2029, unanimously approved the Political Report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, term IX, term 2019 - 2024 and the Action Program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, term X, term 2024 - 2029.
The first conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Tu district, term 2024 - 2029, unanimously agreed to elect the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of the district for the new term, consisting of 5 members. Of which, Ms. Tran Thi Nuong, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, holds the position of Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the district, Mr. Nguyen Hong Chau, member of the District Party Committee, holds the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the district; Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, holds the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the district.
The Congress also consulted and elected a delegation to attend the higher-level Congress, including 17 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of My Tu district called on all strata in the district to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, overcome difficulties and challenges, join hands, reach consensus, participate in economic development, build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; promote the implementation of grassroots democracy, ensure the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; supervise and provide social criticism, prevent corruption, negativity and waste; participate in giving opinions to build a clean and strong Party and government; contribute to the successful implementation of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in the locality, for the goal of "Rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, prosperity and happiness".
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province presented My Tu district with 12 Great Solidarity houses (total amount of over 600 million VND). The Chairman of My Tu district People's Committee awarded 6 collectives and 26 individuals who contributed to the Front's activities in the past term.
