According to Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training Pham Quoc Toan, the 2024-2025 school year is the first year to fully implement the 2018 General Education Program (from grade 6 to grade 9 in all subjects); in which Art is one of the 10 official subjects of the program. In order to successfully complete the school year's tasks, every year the Hanoi Department of Education and Training still has documents guiding the implementation of professional tasks of each subject and each subject content.

Art is a special subject that requires talent, including two contents: music and fine arts, with separate curriculum and textbooks..., but due to the characteristics, the team of fine arts teachers in each school is small, so professional activities in the form of seminars are extremely necessary. Through that, teachers can exchange, share, learn, and gain experience from each other, which helps teaching and learning in each unit to be more effective.

The topic "Bringing local cultural heritage into teaching Fine Arts through the lesson "Learning and experiencing Kim Hoang paintings", implemented by the Department of Education and Training of Hoai Duc district, with the participation of units in the capital's education sector, aims to meet the need for innovation in content and teaching methods of Fine Arts.

The topic "Learning and experiencing Kim Hoang folk paintings", performed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh and students of Di Trach Secondary School (Hoai Duc district), brought to the audience a discovery of the history of formation, development, decline and restoration of the folk painting profession in Kim Hoang village (Van Canh commune, Hoai Duc district), a local cultural heritage.

This meets the requirements for innovation in the content and methods of teaching Fine Arts, in the direction of maximizing students' creative initiative through subject learning activities. At the same time, it is necessary to effectively use cultural heritage, according to the instructions (No. 73/HDBGDĐT – BHVTTD, of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2013), fully exploiting local cultural and artistic heritage, integrating it into subject teaching; as well as promoting and educating about cultural heritage to students in Hanoi.
