Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Phan Phu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Corporation 319, said that Corporation 319, formerly Division 319/Military Region 3, is a 100% state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of National Defense.
Colonel Phan Phu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Corporation 319 affirmed the "order" of training railway engineers to anticipate the investment policy for developing high-speed railways.
According to Colonel Phan Phu, implementing the Party and State's policy on investing in the North-South high-speed railway line according to the plan, as well as implementing the unit's development strategy, the Corporation has coordinated with the Railway College and the University of Transport Technology to open a training program for Railway Bridge Engineers (2nd degree) for officers and employees to increase high-quality human resources.
The Corporation has selected 50 officers with university degrees in traffic engineering and construction engineering to participate in this training program. The study period is 1.5-2 years, and Corporation 319 guarantees all training costs for the students.
50 students attending the railway engineering training course have their tuition fees fully paid by Corporation 319.
Dr. Nguyen Van Lam, Vice Principal of the University of Transport Technology, emphasized that the Bachelor of Railway Bridge Engineering is a special training program, which is of great significance in the development and construction of sustainable transport infrastructure. This is a highly technical field of study, and plays a key role in connecting transport, serving socio-economic development.
"I hope that after graduation, students will have enough knowledge and skills to participate in investment, construction, management and operation projects in the railway sector, especially urban railways and high-speed railways," said Mr. Nguyen Van Lam.
It is known that Corporation 319 is an investor in a number of PPP transport investment projects, and has been constructing many works such as: Bidding packages of the North-South Expressway Construction Project in the East: Mai Son - National Highway 45 section, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section, Cam Lo - La Son section, My Thuan - Can Tho section.
