Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Phan Phu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Corporation 319, said that Corporation 319, formerly the 319th Division/Military Region 3, is a 100% state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of National Defense .
Colonel Phan Phu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Corporation 319, affirmed that the "ordering" of railway engineer training is to anticipate the policy of investing in the development of high-speed railways.
According to Colonel Phan Phu, in implementing the Party and State's policy on investing in the North-South high-speed railway line according to the plan, as well as implementing the unit's development strategy, the Corporation has coordinated with the Railway College and the University of Transport Technology to open a training program for Railway Bridge Engineers (second degree) for officers and employees to strengthen the high-quality human resources.
The corporation selected 50 employees with university degrees in transportation engineering and construction engineering to participate in this training program. The program lasts 1.5-2 years, and Corporation 319 will cover all training costs for the trainees.
The 50 trainees attending the railway engineering training course had their tuition fees fully covered by Corporation 319.
Dr. Nguyen Van Lam, Vice Rector of the University of Transport Technology, emphasized that the Bachelor of Civil Engineering in Bridge and Railway Construction is a special training program with significant importance in developing and building sustainable transportation infrastructure. This field of study is both highly technical and plays a crucial role in connecting transportation and serving socio -economic development.
"We hope that after graduation, the trainees will have sufficient knowledge and skills to participate in investment, construction, management, operation, and exploitation projects in the railway sector, especially urban railways and high-speed railways," said Mr. Nguyen Van Lam.
It is known that Corporation 319 is the investor in several PPP transportation projects, and has been constructing many works such as: Packages under the North-South Expressway construction project (eastern section): Mai Son - National Highway 45 section, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section, Cam Lo - La Son section, My Thuan - Can Tho section.
