Accordingly, immediately after receiving the information, Vietnamese representative agencies in Japan urgently contacted Japanese authorities to find out and verify the information. The case is currently under investigation and Japanese police have arrested 1 suspect.

Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Vietnamese representative agencies in Japan continue to closely coordinate with local authorities, requesting the Japanese side to promptly investigate the case, prosecute the criminals, and work with domestic authorities to verify the identity and contact the victim's family to prepare funeral procedures according to Vietnamese and local laws.

According to the Asahi newspaper, Higashiomi City police received a report on the evening of February 26 about a man lying in a pool of blood in an apartment building in the Hibarigaokacho area. The victim was identified as Nguyen Tuan Anh, 35, a contract worker living in the first-floor apartment here.

Japanese police said the victim died from multiple stab wounds to the neck and on February 27, they urgently arrested suspect Takashi Yamamoto, 49, an unemployed man who lived on the second floor of the apartment building. The suspect admitted to the murder, saying he had "a problem with noise in daily life".
