The Air Defense - Air Force said that helicopters were the first vehicles to depart from Bien Hoa airport (Dong Nai province) towards Independence Palace (Ho Chi Minh City) on the morning of April 30, 2025. Dozens of helicopters including Mi-8 and Mi-17 belonging to the Air Force Regiments were present at Bien Hoa airport (Dong Nai) to train for the parade.

Pilots will practice flying with the national flag before performing at the parade in the sky of Ho Chi Minh City.

The helicopter squadron's mission is to carry the national flag over the Independence Palace at the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Taking off right after the helicopter was the Yak-130 aircraft.

Since early March, dozens of Yak-130 aircraft have been gathered at Bien Hoa airport for training flights.

This is the first time a large number of fighter planes have performed in the skies over Ho Chi Minh City.

After the inspection, the pilot sits in the cockpit with a specialized helmet, seat belt, and mask connected to the pressure control system to take the plane to the runway.

Practicing coordination and position keeping skills, the pilots flew in formations of four aircraft, taking off from Bien Hoa airport through the airspace of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. In the photo, the Su-30MK2 performs an arrow formation exercise.

Then practice separating the team, gliding in the sky, flying low over the simulated grandstand area.

The Su-30MK2 is a twin-engine fighter aircraft with additional improvements suitable for combat needs at tropical seas. This is the most modern weapon of the Vietnam People's Army.

The aircraft formation practice started early in the morning and ended at noon.

After about 30 minutes of practice, the pilot of the Su-30MK2 fighter landed on the runway, returning to the departure point to prepare for the next flight about two hours later.

At the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), in addition to the performance of the air force, on the morning of April 30 on Le Duan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), there will also be a parade with the content of firing 21 cannon shots to the background of the Vietnamese National Anthem, a parade of model cars with the National Emblem - the Party flag, the Fatherland flag - a car carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh; a parade of military, militia and self-defense forces; a parade of police forces; a parade of the masses. The total number of forces mobilized for the parade is expected to be about 13,000 people.
