Bac A Bank has sharply increased interest rates for all terms. Of which, the 3-month term increased from 3.2% to 3.35%; the 6-month term increased from 4.4% to 4.55%; the 12-month term increased from 4.8% to 5.05%; and the 24-month term increased from 5.3% to 5.7%. This interest rate applies to deposits worth VND1 billion or more.
ABBank is the bank with the highest savings interest rate today at 9.65%/year for a 13-month term, applied to savings deposits of VND 1,500 billion or more.
Next is PVcomBank with an interest rate of 9.5%/year for a 12-13 month deposit term with a minimum deposit of VND 2,000 billion.
Next is HDBank with a fairly high interest rate, 8.1%/year for a 13-month term and 7.7% for a 12-month term, with the condition of maintaining a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.
MSB also applies a fairly high interest rate with interest rates at bank counters of up to 8%/year for a term of 13 months. The applicable conditions are that the savings book is newly opened or the savings book is opened from January 1, 2018, automatically renewed with a term of 12 months, 13 months and the deposit amount is from 500 billion VND.
Dong A Bank has a deposit interest rate, term of 13 months or more, end-of-term interest with deposits of 200 billion VND or more, applying an interest rate of 7.5%/year.
OCB applies an interest rate of 6% for a 13-month term.

Comparing the highest and lowest bank interest rates for 3-month, 6-month, 12-month, and 24-month terms, according to a survey by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the highest bank interest rate for 3-month terms is 3.7% for Cake by VPBank. Meanwhile, the lowest bank interest rate for 3-month terms is 1.9% for Agribank and Vietcombank. The difference between the highest and lowest interest rates for 3-month terms is quite large, up to 1.8%.
The highest bank interest rate for a 6-month term is 4.8%, also from Cake by VPBank. The lowest interest rate for this term is 2.9% from Vietcombank. The difference between the highest and lowest interest rates for a 6-month term is 1.9%.
For the 12-month term, PVcomBank and Techcombank broke through with interest rates both at 9.5%, much higher than the highest rate of over 5% of some other banks. Meanwhile, SCB has the lowest interest rate for this term, at 3.7%, creating a difference of up to 5.8%.
For a 24-month term, the highest bank interest rate is 5.8% from OCB and Cake by VPBank. The lowest interest rate is 3.9%, also from SCB. The difference between the highest and lowest interest rates for a 24-month term is 1.9%.
