It can be affirmed that the heroic victory was the result of the synthesis of many factors: The unity between bravery and intelligence; the creative application and development of Marxism-Leninism in accordance with the conditions and circumstances of Vietnam; the mobilization and mature development of objective conditions and subjective factors along with the premise of revolutionary movements of the masses in the periods of 1930 - 1931, 1936 - 1939, 1939 - 1945; especially the leadership role, gathering, rallying and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh with the spirit of "using our own strength to liberate ourselves"... all converged and flared up strongly in the days of August.
With the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, for the first time in the history of world revolution, a 15-year-old Communist Party led the people to "overcome all difficulties and challenges", successfully carry out a "heaven-shaking, earth-shattering" revolution, breaking the chains and yoke of oppression and exploitation of the colonial-feudal regime that had existed for nearly a hundred years, "cutting off the pain and humiliation of the people who lost their country", bringing the Vietnamese people from slavery to mastery, mastering their own lives, creating and building a new social regime, a socialist society.
From here, success followed success, victory followed victory, our army and people "joined hands and hearts" to bravely fight, defeat the two leading imperialists, France and the United States, build a new life, develop the socio-economy, gradually carry out the renovation, build and protect the Fatherland.
Over the past 78 years, the immortal epic of 1945 continues to be written with the blood, sweat and tears of the nation. We have gone from victory to victory, gaining many great and historically significant achievements; the people's lives have been increasingly improved; the prestige and position of Vietnam have been increasingly enhanced in the international arena. This is completely true to the affirmation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong: "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today."
This brilliant reality not only affirms the stature, value and great significance of the August Revolution in 1945 but also affirms that the path of national independence and socialism chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and our people since the early years of the 20th century was completely correct.
However, in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland today, besides the very basic advantages, there are still many difficulties and challenges, especially the negative impacts from the negative side of the market mechanism, globalization, international integration, the 4.0 industrial revolution;... Along with that, hostile forces are stepping up sabotage of our innovation by plotting and using the tricks of "peaceful evolution", promoting "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the organization, "depoliticizing" the army and the degradation of ideology, politics, ethics, lifestyle; corruption, negativity of a number of cadres and party members...
The above situation requires us to deeply imbue and further promote the precious value and significance of the August Revolution of 1945 in the new era, in which one of the most important tasks is to propagate and educate the people, especially the young generation, about the peace and independence that previous generations have built with sweat, blood and bones, and passed on to us.
The further the war recedes, the more important the task of educating the younger generation - the masters of the country - becomes. We must do everything we can to make the generations born in peace appreciate the past and the sacrifices of their fathers and brothers to cultivate the morality of "both red and professional", always have a sense of national pride and self-respect, strive to study, promote the nature, tradition, patriotism and love for the people of the fathers and brothers generation to build and firmly consolidate the great national unity bloc, create positive changes in awareness and responsibility for realizing the goal of national independence and socialism for a rich, beautiful, civilized Vietnam; standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the five continents.
The more difficult it is, the more we need to promote the spirit of determination to fight and win, creatively apply the valuable lessons of the August Revolution on seizing opportunities to turn “danger into opportunity”, firmly overcome all difficulties and challenges, resolutely and persistently strive to successfully carry out the “7 dares” set by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. This is a measure of special significance to fuel tradition and light up faith, because “forgetting history”, “denying the past”, “losing roots” means losing everything. Therefore, thoroughly grasping and successfully carrying out the two strategic tasks: building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation is a necessary and urgent task, a command of life and a call of the heart.
The August Revolution of 1945 brought land into the hands of the people. The task of today's generation is to develop land and the achievements of the successive revolutions by overcoming poverty and backwardness, promoting economic, cultural and social development, linking economic, cultural and social development with national defense, security and foreign affairs to build a strong and prosperous nation. Constantly improve the material and spiritual life and physical strength of cadres, soldiers and people, effectively implement the policy of "repaying gratitude" to war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, policies towards soldiers, the army's rear and those who have contributed to the revolution; effectively implement the morality of "remembering the person who planted the tree when eating the fruit".
Over the past 78 years, the spirit of the August Revolution has forever been the torch that lights the way for the Vietnamese revolution; illuminates even the dark corners of hostile forces to expose their dark plots; helps today's generation recognize the truth; actively fights to defeat plots, tricks, and activities of "peaceful evolution", promote "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the army and "depoliticize" the army; overcome the state of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation; continue to build our country increasingly rich and strong, build an increasingly solid foundation of peace and independence, and make the people's lives increasingly happy and prosperous.
Time gradually recedes, but the glory of August remains forever brilliant, the stature, historical significance and reality of the August Revolution in 1945 remain valuable with valuable lessons, in which the greatest lesson is to maintain faith in the Party and the revolution, promote the strength of the great national unity bloc and maintain independence, autonomy, and creativity in theoretical thinking, especially applying and creatively developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought to firmly adhere to the path of innovation, not to follow a mechanical pattern, to oppose dogma; to strive to build Vietnam into a powerful and prosperous nation; to develop a prosperous and happy country.
