A student died from making explosive firecrackers at home.

(NLDO) - While making homemade fireworks at home, a student died after the fireworks exploded.

On the afternoon of January 20, Mr. Tra Thanh Danh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City confirmed that a homemade firecracker explosion had just occurred in Tinh Khe commune, Quang Ngai City, killing one student.

Accordingly, at about 2:45 p.m. the same day, at Mr. Do Van D.'s house (Tinh Khe commune, Quang Ngai city), a firecracker explosion occurred.

Immediately after the explosion, local people discovered Do Minh A. (17 years old) injured and took the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment.

However, due to severe injuries, the victim died on the way to the emergency room.

"According to initial verification by authorities, the incident occurred while the victim was making fireworks at home," said Tra Thanh Danh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City.
