A Vietnamese airline is honored as the world's top airline.

Specifically, the World's Best Ultra Low Cost Carrier belongs to VietJet, the second place is Cebu Pacific of the Philippines. Airline Ratings said: VietJet is recognized for redefining affordability while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. VietJet continues to lead the ultra-low cost airline industry, providing a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for budget travelers.

AirlineRatings.com also released a list of the 25 best airlines worldwide, with Vietnam Airlines ranked 19th. Accordingly, Korean Air was named Airline of the Year 2025, beating last year's winner, Qatar Airways.

The South Korean carrier's high marks for "passenger comfort" were cited as one of the main reasons for its win - both Korean Air and Japan Airlines offer the most spacious economy class seats of any global airline.

Meanwhile, Air Asia topped AirlineRatings.com's list of the 20 best low-cost airlines in 2025, beating Jestar and AirBaltic, which came in second and third place respectively.
