DNVN - Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Vietnam has just been honored as "Sustainable Development Enterprise" at the 2024 Golden Dragon Awards ceremony.

An annual event initiated in 2001, within the framework of the Vietnam Development Bridge Forum, the Golden Dragon Award 2024 has honored 50 outstanding FDI enterprises that have made many contributions to the development of the country's green and sustainable economy.

Marking the 15th consecutive year of receiving the Golden Dragon Award, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam continues to make its mark with a sustainable growth strategy - effective business combined with high corporate social responsibility, a prestigious Japanese life insurance brand and a leading position in the Vietnamese market. The company focuses on developing human resources, promoting digital transformation, improving product and service quality; ensuring harmony with the common goal of the Vietnamese Government in promoting green and sustainable economic development.

Amid many market challenges in 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is one of the few life insurance companies to achieve a profit after tax of more than VND 2,430 billion, total premium revenue of over VND 19,550 billion, raising the company's market share to 12.5%.

With equity of VND 9,800 billion and total assets of nearly VND 67,000 billion, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is in the Top 3 largest foreign life insurance companies and has the best business performance in Vietnam. According to information from the General Department of Taxation, the company is one of the enterprises that fulfills its tax obligations to the State well, ranking 59th out of 1,000 largest tax-paying enterprises in Vietnam in 2022.

In 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam paid insurance benefits of VND 4,600 billion to more than 350,000 cases, bringing the total amount of insurance benefits paid to over VND 19,500 billion for more than 1.7 million cases in the past 16 years.
