Today (May 17), information from the Inspection Committee of the Kbang District Party Committee indicates that Mr. Dinh A Hyot, a party member currently active in the Kon Kring village Party branch (Kon Pne commune), has been expelled from the Party.
Mr. Dinh A Hyot is believed to be the ringleader in cutting down two valuable trees in the forest area managed and protected by the Kon Ka Kinh National Park Management Board.
According to the conclusion of the Kbang District Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Mr. Dinh A Hyot violated the rules that Party members are not allowed to break; caused very serious consequences; created negative public opinion within the Party branch; and damaged his own reputation and that of the Party branch... to the extent that he must be expelled from the Party.
Previously, authorities discovered that two trees in plot 6, sub-area 76, within the special-use forest managed and protected by the Kon Ka Kinh National Park Management Board, had been felled. Measurements at the scene revealed 15.792 cubic meters of round timber.
According to initial investigations, from October 5-7, 2022, Dinh A Hyot led and initiated the illegal felling of the two aforementioned trees along with several others.
The Kbang District Police have now initiated criminal proceedings and recommended prosecution against the individuals who cut down the two trees for the offense of "Violating regulations on forest exploitation, protection, and management of forest products."
