A big university considers thousands of students' transcripts, IELTS 5.0 converts to 8 points

Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry enrolls students in 5 ways. Method 1 is direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Method 2 is admission based on the results of the Competency Assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University (not applicable to preschool education).

Method 3 is to consider admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam. For preschool education, it is based on the results of the graduation exam in 2 subjects: literature, math and the aptitude test score.

Method 4 is admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam, adding or replacing a subject in the admission combination with a transcript (not applicable to preschool education).

Method 5: Admission based on academic records.

For methods 3 and 5, candidates can use IELTS or TOEFL ITP certificate scores for conversion.

A series of Northern schools directly admit candidates with IELTS and SAT certificates

In 2025, Vietnam National University of Agriculture plans to directly admit excellent students with IELTS from 6.0 and SAT from 1,200. Similarly, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering also plans to directly admit candidates with SAT scores from 1,200 and above.
