“A war must win all battles”

Chairing the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in July 2024, after reviewing the results achieved and the problems that need to be solved, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan "wound up" the members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of localities and units in the province to make efforts to better fulfill the assigned tasks. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee made a metaphor: "A war must win all battles".

We can understand that entering 2024 with many difficulties as well as extremely heavy goals and tasks set in the year of acceleration, reaching the finish line to implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, is considered a fierce battle with many challenges. It requires everyone to make the highest efforts and determination, be ready to do difficult things, even accept unprecedented things and also have to strongly eliminate bad precedents that exist in the civil service, in the manners and styles of cadres and party members... And in fact, we have made great efforts to overcome the limitations of previous years, which are the fear of making mistakes, the disease of shirking responsibility, and avoiding difficult tasks.

The results achieved by Thanh Hoa province in the first 6 months of the year with many impressive figures in the top of the country and continued strong growth in many areas in July, are clear evidence of the province's determination. These can be seen as "victories" in this important battle. As stated by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan at the meeting: In July, most areas grew well. This is a very encouraging result, showing the determination and great efforts of the entire political system, in which the fear of making mistakes, avoiding and shirking responsibility has significantly decreased.

However, 2024 is only half way through, and the journey to end the "war" still has many obstacles and challenges. It can be seen that the emerging problems are that traffic accidents in the first 7 months of the year have tended to increase; the progress of social housing construction is still slow compared to the requirements and targets set. Many projects have been implemented for a long time but the progress is very slow; some investors have low disbursement results...

In particular, this August we have to face the peak of rain and storms with unpredictable objective factors, while the progress of the implementation of the Project to arrange and stabilize residents in areas at high risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous districts in the period of 2021-2025 has not met the requirements. Therefore, what the head of the Provincial People's Committee wants is for everyone to maintain their spirit, so that the remaining tasks of the year must be achieved, like a great war must win all battles to be complete.

With that spirit, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan requested that sectors and localities not be complacent or satisfied with what has been achieved. They must actively and proactively implement synchronous solutions, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully complete the set goals and tasks.

Faced with such a requirement, it requires departments, branches, and localities to identify what are the weak and lacking issues of their own branches, localities, and more broadly, on a provincial level, to advise accurately, resolve quickly, and ensure the highest efficiency, so that "One war must win all battles" as the head of the Provincial People's Committee raised.
