A scientific study that helps increase the success rate of treatment for infertile couples has just been published in the world's leading medical journal.

My Duc Hospital has just officially published a scientific work on endometrial preparation protocols in the world's leading medical journal - The Lancet on June 27, 2024.

Comparison of the effectiveness of 3 endometrial preparation regimens commonly used in the world.

This is a scientific work comparing endometrial preparation protocols to personalize the treatment process, providing more basis to help choose the most suitable protocol to increase the success rate for each infertile couple.

This is the second time a valuable scientific work of My Duc Hospital in particular and Vietnamese Medicine in general has appeared in the most prestigious medical journal in the world today - The Lancet.

Currently, frozen embryo transfer treatment has become more popular in IVF treatment, with the number of frozen embryo transfer cycles increasing rapidly. In this treatment process, endometrial preparation plays the most important role to ensure synchronization between embryo and endometrium.

Endometrial preparation is like building a nest for the embryo before it is transferred into the uterus. With a good environment, the embryo can develop more healthily, and the chance of pregnancy can also be increased. However, each patient will have a different physical condition. Using a single regimen will not really be suitable for all patients.

Although endometrial preparation regimens have been, are being, and will be widely applied in the world, scientific evidence on the effectiveness of current endometrial preparation regimens is very limited.

Therefore, the scientific work "Comparing the effectiveness of 3 endometrial preparation regimens commonly used in the world" of My Duc Hospital will support doctors with more scientific evidence to help make personalized and appropriate regimen choices for each patient, in order to optimize treatment results.

This scientific work is the first clinical study in the world conducted with a large sample size of 1428 patients, with a rigorous design, fully addressing issues closely related to the effectiveness and safety of the three endometrial preparation regimens most commonly used in clinical practice today.

This is also the first scientific work to conduct a mid-term analysis and be evaluated by an independent international data analysis board including Professors Lyle Gurrin, Jim Thorton and Ernest Ng from the UK, Australia and Hong Kong.

This ensures that research data is always monitored and evaluated objectively, ensuring safety and effectiveness for patients, as well as increasing the scientific quality and reliability of the research.

MSc. Dr. Ho Manh Tuong, representative of HOPE Research Center, My Duc Hospital, said that the results of this scientific work greatly appreciate the contributions not only of the research team but also of all surrounding factors that have supported this research to achieve practical results.

The results and insights into issues related to endometrial preparation protocols drawn from this research will help in selecting the appropriate protocol for each patient, optimizing the safety and effectiveness of the treatment process, following the personalization trend of modern medicine.

This is also what My Duc Hospital always cares about and aims for. For more than a year now, patients coming to My Duc Hospital for treatment have begun to benefit from new insights, adjusted protocols, and conclusions from this research. After the research results are published in The Lancet, the new knowledge and understanding of the topic will be spread worldwide.

The Lancet is considered the world's leading medical journal today, reflecting and promoting progress in the field of global medicine.

With over 200 years of history since 1823, The Lancet has published many high-quality review articles and research in areas such as clinical, community medicine, public health and basic research from world-renowned research groups and universities.

The journal is considered one of the most prestigious and cutting-edge sources of information in the global medical and health sciences community, with a current scientific impact factor that is the highest in the world.

Therefore, the requirements of this journal are very strict with very high standards, The Lancet only accepts quality research works with outstanding scientific quality.
