A police officer was injured while stopping a group of people carrying weapons from slashing each other.

On May 12, Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that while stopping dozens of teenagers carrying weapons to slash each other, a police officer working at Ba To Town Police (Ba To District, Quang Ngai) was injured in the arm. This police officer was later taken to Ba To District Medical Center for treatment.

Senior Lieutenant Tran Duc Tai is being treated at Ba To District Medical Center (Quang Ngai).

Previously, due to conflicts, dozens of teenagers (mostly students) in several communes and towns in Ba To district brought weapons and rode 10 motorbikes to find people to slash.

Upon receiving the report from the people, Senior Lieutenant Tran Duc Tai and the working group of Ba To Town Police (Ba To District) urgently went to Dong Chua residential group, Ba To Town to stop and control the group of teenagers.

While the police were holding the people and the vehicle, the group of teenagers fought back and ran away, injuring Lieutenant Tai. At the scene, the police seized over 10 improvised weapons such as iron pipes, long spears, etc.

Lieutenant Tai said: "When I received information from the people, I immediately reported to the commander to ask for advice and promptly arrived at the scene to prevent the group of teenagers from causing consequences for society."

Ba To Town Police urgently investigated and prosecuted the group of people involved. When the police force worked, many parents learned that their children had broken the law, stored and used weapons to attack each other.

The case is being consolidated by Ba To Town Police and strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
