(NLDO) - Through inspection, authorities discovered a facility in Binh Phuoc illegally employing 13 Cambodian workers.
On January 4, Binh Phuoc Provincial Police announced that they had issued a decision to fine the owner of Van Thanh II veneer facility in Long Hung commune, Phu Rieng district, Binh Phuoc province, for illegally employing foreign workers.
Binh Phuoc Provincial Police handed over 13 Cambodian workers to Cambodian authorities at Hoang Dieu Border Gate.
Previously, on December 4, the Immigration Department of Binh Phuoc Provincial Police, in coordination with Phu Rieng District Police, conducted a surprise inspection of Van Thanh II veneer factory. Through the inspection, the authorities discovered that the owner of this factory illegally employed 13 Cambodian workers, including 3 children.
On December 31, the Director of Binh Phuoc Provincial Police issued a decision to administratively fine Van Thanh II veneer facility and Cambodian citizens VND57.5 million for violations of illegal labor and residence.
On the afternoon of January 2, the Immigration Management Department, Binh Phuoc Provincial Police, in coordination with Hoang Dieu Border Guard Station (Bu Dop District) organized the handover of 13 Cambodian citizens to the authorities of the neighboring country.
