Major Tong Van Canh reported to the unit commander about the rescue action. |
Previously, at around 7:30 p.m. on April 10, at Tran Phu Bridge, the Cau Bong Border Control Station Observation Team discovered a young woman suddenly jumping into the sea to commit suicide, then two people jumped in to save her. However, due to the long distance and strong currents, the two people participating in the rescue showed signs of exhaustion. Without hesitation, Major Tong Van Canh immediately jumped from the bridge into the sea to save the woman. After a short time, officers and soldiers of Cau Bong Border Control Station coordinated with the rescue force to arrive promptly, assisting Major Canh to bring the girl and the two people to shore safely.
