Only 25 securities companies have completed testing with the KRX system.

Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) informed that on August 21, this unit coordinated with the Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation, Hanoi Stock Exchange to organize a meeting with securities companies, commercial banks, and domestic and foreign fund management companies to present the project plan and urge coordination in preparing the new information technology system (also known as the KRX system) according to plan.

Only 25 securities companies out of 76 companies have completed the KRX system testing scenario.

HOSE said it has summarized the preliminary results of the testing with market members in the recent past. The results at HOSE show that 25 out of 76 securities companies have completed 100% of the testing scenarios; 36 companies have completed over 80% and 15 companies have completed less than 80%. According to the plan of the contractor KRX, the Vietnamese side will organize the final testing in November 2023 and KRX is expected to complete system preparation by the end of December 2023 to be ready for deployment.

Previously, the Ministry of Finance had directed units to be determined to complete the project and prepare the KRX system to be ready for operation by the end of this year. At the meeting, leaders of the stock exchanges said that for units that are not ready on schedule, they will report to competent authorities to take measures to complete the project according to the common goal. Preparing for the new system is the responsibility of securities companies and market members in general.

KRX is an information technology system for managing and operating transactions on the Vietnamese stock market, signed by HOSE with the Korea Stock Exchange (KRX) in 2012. This project aims to upgrade the system technology and infrastructure of the stock exchange in Vietnam.

Earlier this year, attending the gong-beating ceremony of the first day of the Year of the Cat 2023 at HOSE, Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission - Ms. Vu Thi Chan Phuong said that the KRX trading system will go into operation in 2023.
