The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism is conducting surveys and assessments around 14 stations as a basis for developing tourism products along the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line.

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the Department has surveyed tourist attractions around the 14 stations of metro line 1 as a basis for businesses to develop tourism products and tours.
Specifically, when the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line became operational, the unit organized a conference, inviting businesses to participate in evaluating and developing products and tours along the line. The goal was for tourists to come to the city to both experience metro line 1 and visit attractive destinations in Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, many travel agencies have been developing products that combine the use of Metro Line 1 with sightseeing spots along the route.
With a total length of 19.7 km, Metro Line 1 comprises 3 underground stations (Ben Thanh, City Theatre, and Ba Son) and 11 elevated stations. Of these, 9 elevated stations (from Tan Cang station to Ho Chi Minh City National University station) are designed with pedestrian bridges, allowing passengers to conveniently visit and explore shops, entertainment complexes, and restaurants.
For example, from Ben Thanh station, tourists can visit Ben Thanh Market - the most famous market in Ho Chi Minh City, check in at the giant skylight, visit the Opera House station, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Notre Dame Cathedral, Nguyen Van Binh book street, etc.
From Tan Cang Station (the station near Saigon Bridge) in Binh Thanh District, tourists can visit Landmark 81, Van Thanh tourist area, and more.
From Ba Son station, you can explore the Ton Duc Thang Museum and the Vietnam Geological Museum, Saigon Zoo, and more.
