Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee announced the opening of entertainment activities on Ha Long Bay from August 1, 2023.
According to Decision No. 2162/QD-UBND dated August 1, 2023, Ha Long Bay has 4 entertainment and recreation areas managed and exploited by the Ha Long Bay Management Board.
Activity area No. 1 - Luon cave area has an area of 5.23ha. Activity area No. 2 - Cua Van area, area of 29.56ha. Activity area No. 3 - Dong Tien lake area - Trinh Nu cave, area of 32.55ha. Activity area No. 4 - Cong Do area, area of 62.36ha.

Ha Long Bay Management Board is responsible for strictly implementing the provisions of Decree No. 48/2019/ND-CP dated June 5, 2019 of the Government regulating the management of activities of means of water entertainment and other relevant legal provisions.
Ha Long Bay Management Board implements plans to ensure security, safety, rescue, and prevent environmental pollution in water recreation areas on Ha Long Bay; implements legal regulations on inland waterway traffic, environmental protection, fire prevention, security, order, safety and other relevant legal regulations; fully supplements the infrastructure system of limit buoys, controls the area according to the measured coordinates, before going into operation.
Ha Long Bay Management Board presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies to ensure the safety of activities in the announced areas; coordinates with Ha Long City People's Committee to unify regulations on specific operating hours for recreational and entertainment activities, organizes management to ensure safety throughout the operation process...
Ha Long City People's Committee, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Transport are responsible for implementing state management work according to the unit's management areas at the announced entertainment areas.
The announcement of the recreational activity area in Ha Long Bay has removed many obstacles in investment and business activities of underwater tourism services such as kayaking, boating, etc. in the bay for many years according to Decree 48/2019/ND-CP.
Ha Long Bay is a famous scenic spot with thousands of large and small islands spread out on the Northeastern coast, creating a vivid and majestic natural picture. Many caves gather to create a world that is both vivid and mysterious, unique in the world. Ha Long Bay has just been included in the list of 50 most beautiful natural wonders by Insider magazine (USA).
Recently, according to information from Quang Ninh province, this province will open a road connecting Ha Long city with Son Dong district (Bac Giang).
