A week after being crowned Miss International 2024, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy returned to Vietnam and met with the media.
After a week of being crowned Miss International 2024, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy returned to Vietnam and had a press meeting with the participation of Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss International Vietnam, Mr. Stephen Diaz - Communications Director, representative of Miss International organization, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper.
Thanh Thuy has a busy schedule after being crowned in Japan. She spent 5 days carrying out her first missions such as answering international media interviews, meeting partners, visiting exhibitions and important locations.
The beauty queen then returned to Vietnam, spending 5 days organizing 3 Homecoming trips in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang and interacting with the press. On November 20, she will visit teachers, friends, and family in her hometown Da Nang; discuss with the City Youth Union to carry out some other activities.
During her 1-year tenure, Thanh Thuy nurtured the idea of a project connecting Vietnamese and Japanese cultures such as exchanging with the Vietnamese community, organizing meetings, and connecting international students. During her participation in Miss International 2024, the 22-year-old beauty queen visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.
In the coming time, the beauty queen from Da Nang will continue to carry out a charity project to ensure clean water sources and improve the quality of life for areas affected by saltwater intrusion in Vietnam. This is a sustainable project that can be maintained for a long time. It will expand the scale of organizing medical examinations, visiting schools and giving scholarships to encourage learning.
Thanh Thuy once installed free water filters for the people of Thanh Phong commune, Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province. This is also the project she brought to Miss International.

Regarding her impressive performance at the Miss International 2024 finale, Thanh Thuy emphasized the importance of education and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) because these are topics that the contest organizers are interested in. Her careful preparation helped her answer convincingly and score points with the judges.
At the moment the winner's name was announced, Thanh Thuy lowered her head to keep her emotions balanced. "If my name is not called, that's fine, but if it is, I will look up beautifully," she humorously explained. Thanh Thuy emphasized that throughout the competition, she always set the goal of expressing herself in the best way possible so that the audience could see her efforts.
Thanh Thuy believes that the factor that helps her shine at Miss International is always being herself. This is also the criteria of the contest's organizing committee. Representatives from each country have their own beauty and strengths, so she focuses on cultivating and expressing herself. The 22-year-old beauty queen's playfulness and sincerity do not deviate from the contest's criteria but also impress the judges.
Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss International Vietnam said that choosing Thanh Thuy to participate in Miss International was a strategic decision, based on a careful assessment of the competition's criteria. The selection of candidates for international competitions is not based on rankings in domestic competitions but depends on their qualities.
Thanh Thuy possesses a rare balanced face, a beautiful body, approaching the standards of Miss International - a graceful, dynamic but restrained girl, "holy but not boring". Since being selected to participate in the contest, Thanh Thuy has made constant efforts, from improving her knowledge, communication skills, charisma, energy to building a suitable image.
She is the reigning beauty queen who studied at two schools at the same time - University of Foreign Languages (University of Danang) and Greenwich University Vietnam. Besides constantly traveling between Ho Chi Minh City and Danang to keep up with her study schedule, the beauty queen also participates in commercial activities and entertainment events, showing that she is in good health and always maintains discipline. During that time, Thanh Thuy was also thoroughly trained by stylists, makeup artists, catwalk skills, and behavior experts.
The results achieved at Miss International 2024 and the recognition from the organizing committee and the international beauty fan community for Thanh Thuy are Vietnam's success in the world beauty arena.
Mr. Stephen Diaz - Communications Director, representative of Miss International organization, called Thanh Thuy as Tit (her nickname) and said that this "well-deserved victory" is the beginning of the next steps of Vietnam's development in Miss International. Winning the crown at a contest with a tradition of more than 60 years is something that many countries are striving to achieve.
According to him, the factor that helped Thanh Thuy win was her experience, having been Miss Vietnam for 2 years. She had a long journey of building her personality, confidence, understanding herself, and her purpose when coming to the international arena.
Miss International Organization will accompany Thanh Thuy in the initial stage in Vietnam, then organize tours for her in many places around the world to promote the contest and the beauty of Vietnamese women.
