MISA's Board of Directors was honored to attend the Workshop with Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chinh - Director of Department A05, Ministry of Public Security, Permanent Vice Chairman of NCA (middle).
The National Cyber Security Association (NCA) is a socio-professional organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations, under the Ministry of Public Security, operating in the field of cyber security. In order to identify challenges in ensuring data security and crisis response measures when data is attacked, NCA organized the Workshop "Data Security in Cyberspace" to discuss and learn about opportunities and challenges related to national cyber security. At the event, speakers shared about the preventive measures that MISA is implementing and called on customers to protect their personal information by mastering cyber security knowledge, proactively preventing risks and strictly complying with regulations on data security and safety. The event was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Public Security, Chairman of NCA; Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chinh - Director of Department A05, Ministry of Public Security, Permanent Vice Chairman of NCA with the participation of many organizations, businesses and cybersecurity experts. On MISA's side, there were the participation of Vice Chairman of MISA Board of Directors and Member of NCA Inspection Committee Nguyen Xuan Hoang; General Director of MISA Dinh Thi Thuy; Director of MISA Information Security Nguyen Quang Hoang.Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the NCA at the meeting to review the work of the first 6 months of 2024.
On the same day, MISA attended the Conference to review the work of the first 6 months of 2024 chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Public Security, Chairman of NCA and gave advice and commitments in the Association's plan for the last 6 months of the year. Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and commended the results of NCA. The Minister emphasized that the establishment of NCA was correct and contributed to raising awareness, compliance with the law on cybersecurity, protecting personal data and being vigilant against online fraud. Regarding the direction for the last 6 months of the year, the Minister suggested unifying awareness of cybersecurity, turning challenges into development opportunities, and creating momentum for the country's economy. At the event, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Thuy - Director of the National Cyber Security Center proposed the establishment of an Incident Response and Cyber Security Services Alliance.Vice Chairman of MISA Board of Directors and Member of NCA Inspection Committee Nguyen Xuan Hoang spoke at the Conference to review the work of the first 6 months of 2024.
As a member of the NCA Inspection Committee and Chairman of the CYSEEX Information Security Alliance, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MISA shared: “MISA is ready to mobilize CYSEEX members to participate in the activities of the Incident Response and Cyber Security Services Alliance such as responding to incidents, protecting the country's critical infrastructure, especially in situations where there are cyber attacks on Vietnam . In addition, MISA is committed to actively supporting in sharing information, skills to prevent and combat fraud in cyberspace, continuing to develop effective security tools and solutions, and preventing cyber security risks from a distance. At the same time, contributing to improving the information security (IS) capacity for information systems of enterprises, organizations and countries, thereby creating a safe environment for businesses to develop together sustainably in the context of many challenges in IS”. In addition, MISA's trust in holding a position on the NCA Executive Board is a testament to its outstanding capacity in information security, affirming the company's reputation and commitment to protecting customer data and information. In 2023, MISA established the CYSEEX Information Security Alliance to support and rescue members who are attacked or have information security incidents. This is a forum for sharing knowledge and experience, improving the ability to respond to data theft attacks during the digital transformation process. CYSEEX regularly organizes information security drills to practice practical skills, helping units accumulate experience in preventing online fraud. In the first 6 months of 2024, CYSEEX organized 5 drills with the participation of 6 units, detecting 193 vulnerabilities, including 2 serious system takeover vulnerabilities, 60 serious vulnerabilities, 64 high vulnerabilities, 43 medium vulnerabilities, and 24 low vulnerabilities.
