According to the latest figures from the Department of Overseas Labor Management, the number of Vietnamese workers in Japan has doubled in the past five years, reaching over 300,000 in 2022. This number is expected to continue to increase sharply in the coming years due to the growing demand for manpower in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Positive signs

Experts predict that labor export to Japan will be one of the booming trends in the Vietnamese labor market over the next five years. This boom is driven by several key factors:

Firstly, Japanese society is aging rapidly, with a sharp decline in the working-age population. Therefore, the demand for young, healthy, and skilled workers from developing countries like Vietnam is increasing.

More and more young workers are registering with MIF.

Secondly, the Japanese government has introduced several new policies to attract foreign workers, such as easing visa requirements, providing travel cost support, and increasing the minimum wage. This makes it more favorable for Vietnamese workers to come and work in Japan.

Thirdly, businesses are in great need of manpower in many sectors such as processing, manufacturing, agriculture , electronics, and mechanics, in large numbers. Vietnamese workers are highly valued for their diligence, discipline, and more cost-effectiveness.

Fourth, the rapid development of technology in Japan has also opened up many new job opportunities for Vietnamese workers in the fields of IT, electronics, mechanics, and energy. Many Vietnamese workers have been and are successfully working at leading companies such as Honda, Sony, Canon, etc.

The first breeze

Amidst the booming labor market, MIF - International Financial & Media Investment Joint Stock Company - was established in the Mekong Delta to pioneer the effort of bringing Vietnamese intelligence to the global stage.

MIF provides in-depth training tailored to the specific criteria required by each foreign company, continuously distributing and maximizing the needs of each worker, then outlining a suitable training strategy to unlock their full potential, applying practical skills through various processes, and finally sending them to work.

This process is receiving high praise from Japanese organizations, thereby further confirming the increasing quality of Vietnamese people on the international stage.

Of course, with great benefits come great pressure; working in such a wealthy environment isn't a one-day or two-day affair. However, MIF asserts that those trained at the company will always learn to adapt to any environment professionally and progressively.

Working in Japan generally offers a stable and higher income compared to Vietnam. In addition, workers enjoy good insurance and welfare benefits, ensuring good health and family care. Furthermore, it provides young people with opportunities to experience and learn new cultures and skills, improve their language abilities, and expand their social network.

For the country, exporting labor to Japan contributes to reducing unemployment pressure, increasing workers' income, and improving their quality of life. In addition, increased labor exports help improve trade and strengthen bilateral partnerships.

With the strong growth of the Japanese economy and the trend of an aging population, the demand for foreign workers will increase significantly in the coming years. This presents a great opportunity for Vietnam to expand its labor export market, opening up a very new future of employment for young Vietnamese workers.
