Visa-free entry for citizens of 12 countries.

(NLĐO) - The government has decided to grant visa exemptions to citizens of 12 countries for a temporary stay of 45 days within a 3-year period.

The government has just issued Resolution No. 44 dated March 7, 2025, on visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, South Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, and Republic of Finland.

The resolution stipulates visa exemption for citizens of the aforementioned countries for a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, provided they fully meet the entry requirements as prescribed by Vietnamese law.

The visa exemption policy for citizens of the aforementioned countries entering Vietnam will be implemented from March 15, 2025 to March 14, 2028 and will be reviewed for extension in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Government Resolution No. 32 dated March 15, 2022 and Government Resolution No. 128 dated August 14, 2023 will cease to be effective from March 15, 2025.

Specifically, Resolution No. 32 concerns visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland, and Republic of Belarus, from March 15, 2022, to March 14, 2025.

Resolution No. 128 amends Resolution No. 32 on visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and Republic of Belarus, with a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, provided that all entry conditions stipulated by Vietnamese law are met.
