The free admission policy aims to express gratitude to all segments of the population, including monks, nuns, Buddhists, and tourists, who have contributed to the protection, preservation, restoration, and promotion of the heritage site's value. This policy also helps to promote the image of the Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage site to a wider audience both domestically and internationally; in particular, it honors national pride and promotes the dissemination and education of traditions to the younger generation through historical sites such as the Yen Tu scenic area, the Tran Dynasty historical site, and the Bach Dang National Special Historical Site.

Yen Tu is known as the capital of Vietnamese Buddhism.
At the same time, this also serves as a basis for planning, attracting investment; developing diverse tourism products; ensuring the province's annual tourism promotion and stimulus goals; and increasing the number of tourists visiting the World Cultural Heritage site.
The Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac complex of historical sites and scenic spots was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site at its 47th session in July 2025. This is Vietnam's ninth heritage site, spanning three provinces: Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh , and Hai Phong City. Currently, the entrance fee to Yen Tu is 40,000 VND per adult and 20,000 VND per child.
