Due to the influence of the low pressure trough then combined with high-altitude wind convergence, from the night of May 27 to 31, the area will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, with some areas having heavy to very heavy rain; from June 1, there will be showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having heavy rain.
Meanwhile, in the Central region, heat waves are widespread, with some areas experiencing severe heat, with showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. From May 31, the heat waves are likely to ease. In the North Central region, from May 28 to 31, there is a possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The Central Highlands and the South continue to have sunny weather during the day, with some areas in the South experiencing hot weather; showers and thunderstorms in some areas in the afternoon and evening. From May 28 to 31, the southwest monsoon returns, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in this area, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
For Hanoi weather , tomorrow will be less cloudy and hot, with the highest temperature of 33-35 degrees. From the night of May 28 to June 1, Hanoi will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. Notably, on the night of May 30 and the morning of May 31, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain in some places with thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind... During this time, the temperature in Hanoi will decrease, with the highest being around 30-32 degrees, relatively cool.
The meteorological agency warns that areas in thunderstorms are likely to experience tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind; mountainous and midland areas need to be on guard against the possibility of flash floods and landslides.
In addition, specifically regarding the hot weather in the Central region, the meteorological agency forecasts that on May 27-28, the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have hot weather and severe heat with the highest temperature from 36-38 degrees, some places over 38 degrees; the lowest relative humidity is 45-55%.
On May 27, the South will also experience heat waves with the highest temperature of 35-37 degrees, some places over 37 degrees; the lowest relative humidity is commonly 55-60%. From May 28, the heat waves in the South will tend to decrease gradually. The heat waves in the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen are likely to last until about May 30.
Note, the forecast temperature in the heat bulletin and the actual felt temperature outside can differ by 2-4 degrees, or even higher depending on the conditions of the surface such as concrete and asphalt.
