Weather highlights on the night of the 3rd and the 4th day of Tet

On the 4th day of Tet, the temperature in the North and North Central regions continued to increase, with rain in some places, scattered fog and light fog in the early morning, and sunny in the afternoon.

The meteorological agency also issued a warning bulletin about high tides in the coastal areas of the Southeast. Accordingly, the highest water level observed at the Vung Tau marine station at 2:30 a.m. on the third day of Tet was 4.31 m. The recorded wave data showed that the coastal waters of the Southeast region had a common wave height of 2-3 m and would remain so for the next 24 hours.

Also in the next 24 hours, the water level along the Southeast coast will be high, the highest height at Vung Tau station can reach 4.25 m.

The impact of high tides combined with strong winds and big waves, low-lying areas, riverside areas, and areas outside the dike in the coastal area of the Southeast region are likely to be flooded in the early morning and afternoon, increasing the risk of saltwater intrusion on rivers in the Southeast region.
