Widespread heavy rain in the North, the South beware of tornadoes and lightning

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (June 25), in the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain in some places.

Specifically, in the North and Thanh Hoa , total rainfall from 1am today to 24 hours later is 40-90mm, in some places over 110mm; in Nghe An it is 30-60mm, in some places over 70mm.

In the next 24 hours, in the Northeast, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, rainfall will be 30-60mm, in some places over 80mm.

In the Northwest region specifically, heavy rain gradually decreased from the night of June 25th.

The Meteorological Agency forecasts that on June 26-27, the North and North Central regions will continue to have showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain.

Additionally, today in the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, there will be showers and thunderstorms, with localized moderate to heavy rain, with rainfall amounts of 15-30mm, and in some places over 50mm. The thunderstorms will mainly occur in the afternoon and evening.

Heavy rains pose a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas; beware of heavy rains in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Today, the hot weather in the Central region gradually narrows, still occurring in the area from Quang Binh to Phu Yen with the highest temperature of 35 degrees and continuing to decrease.

Northwestern region

Cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Light winds. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees; some places below 22 degrees. Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees, some places above 31 degrees.

Northeast

Cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Light winds. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees. Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees, with some areas exceeding 31 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An), it will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rain, very heavy rain in some areas, and scattered thunderstorms; in the South, it will be cloudy with sunny days, hot in some areas, and scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Southwesterly winds will be at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees, in the North some places below 25 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees, in some places above 35 degrees; in Thanh Hoa-Nghe An 30-33 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, with some hot weather in the North; showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees Celsius; in the North, some areas may exceed 35 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands

Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, with some moderate to heavy rain. Southwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees, with some areas exceeding 32 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees.

Hanoi

Cloudy with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Light wind. Thunderstorms with possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
