(Dan Tri) - From the night of December 30, the Northern region, including Hanoi, will welcome another wave of cold air. Many places will experience severe cold, according to the forecast of the hydrometeorological agency.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said cold air is continuing to affect other places in the Central Central region. Meanwhile, the Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9.

According to forecasts, on the night of December 28, cold air will continue to affect other places in the Central Central region and some places in the South Central region. Northeast wind inland will be strong at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3-4.

On December 29, the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue will have cold weather, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold.

The hydrometeorological agency recorded the lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North and North Central regions ranging from 11 to 14 degrees Celsius, with some places in the mountainous areas of the North below 10 degrees Celsius. The area from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue is generally 14-17 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi, the Hydrometeorological Station of the Northern Delta and Midlands forecasts that tonight and the morning of December 29, the weather in the capital will be cold and rainy. By noon and afternoon of December 29, the temperature will increase and the weather will be sunny and dry. This weather condition in the capital will last until December 30.
