The Microsoft Copilot application allows users to ask questions, summarize complex texts, edit text, create images through artificial intelligence (AI)... In addition, this AI chatbot can also become an image creation tool to help create AI artworks right on users' mobile devices, thanks to the integration of OpenAI's DALL-E3 technology.

Unlike the free ChatGPT chatbot version that runs on GPT-3.5, Copilot gives users access to GPT-4, OpenAI's latest large language model, at no cost.

"By combining the power of GPT-4 with the imagination of DALL-E3, the AI chatbot Copilot not only enhances the design process, it can take your creativity to inspiring new heights," Microsoft claims.

Microsoft's rebranding of Bing Chat to Copilot shows that the company is aiming for standalone AI chatbot experiences like ChatGPT. In addition, the Windows maker also created a dedicated website for Copilot, separate from Bing.
