(Dan Tri) - Microsoft has just introduced the Windows 365 Link small computer, which is considered a product to compete with Apple's Mac Mini. However, Windows 365 Link has a special way of operating.
Windows 365 Link is a compact computer, similar to Apple's Mac Mini.
The product weighs less than 500g, is 12cm long and wide, and only 3cm thick, equipped with three USB-A ports, one USB-C port, LAN port, 3.5mm headphone jack, DisplayPort port and HDMI port for connecting to an external display. The product also supports WiFi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

This computer runs on a stripped down operating system called Windows CPC.
Basically, Windows 365 Link is considered as a device to help users connect to Microsoft's online software and services. Users just need to connect this device to any screen via HDMI cable to use, without having to go through complicated setup and installation steps.
Windows 365 Link will still display the familiar interface of the Windows 11 operating system on the screen, but all software, data... of Windows 365 Link are saved on Microsoft's cloud service, meaning this computer does not need to be equipped with a hard drive with too large a capacity to store data or install software.

Microsoft hasn't revealed the full specifications of the Windows 365 Link, but says the device will be powered by an Intel processor, 8GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
However, these configuration parameters are not really important because Windows 365 Link only acts as a bridge between users and Microsoft's software and online services, while the entire software operation and processing process is performed on Microsoft's cloud server.
Windows 365 Link will be officially sold on the market from April next year, with a price of 349 USD. Initially, Microsoft will only sell the product in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, before expanding to other countries.
