According to Bleeping Computer , eligible members of the Windows Insider channel can begin testing Copilot by navigating to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, enabling the newly added “Get the latest updates as soon as they're available” option, and checking for updates after installing Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3757 (KB5032278).
Copilot works on Windows 10
Windows Insider members reported that they have enabled the feature and seen Copilot in their operating system. This feature is being rolled out in phases. Microsoft will add Copilot to devices running version 22H2 of Windows 10 Enterprise or Education, as well as Windows 10 Professional devices, in the next phase of the rollout.
IT administrators can prepare for Copilot integration on Windows 10 by following the instructions on Microsoft's support page.
After Copilot was added to Windows 10, users could launch the AI assistant by clicking the new Copilot icon at the bottom of the Windows taskbar. This would open a chat window pinned to the screen for entering queries. Similar to Windows 11, Copilot in Windows 10 also allows voice interaction via the microphone icon in the chat window.
However, unlike the Windows 11 interface, not all of Copilot's features are accessible on Windows 10 devices. For example, functions such as opening applications or customizing options will not be available.
The preview release of Copilot in Windows 10 is currently only available in select global markets, including North America, parts of Asia, and South America, before gradually rolling out to other markets.
Windows Copilot was first introduced in September, initially available on Windows 11 22H2, and is now enabled by default on Windows 11 23H2 devices.
