(Dan Tri) - The President of Mexico declared that his country will not tolerate actions that violate US sovereignty.

"This cannot be an opportunity for the United States to violate our sovereignty. For Mexico, it must be cooperation and coordination, never submission or intervention, or even invasion," Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum warned on February 20.
Ms Sheinbaum's statement came after the US designated Mexican gangs as terrorist organizations.
President Sheinbaum said her government was not consulted by the US in its decision to put Mexican gangs on the list of global terrorist organizations.
President Sheinbaum added that she would propose a constitutional reform to protect Mexico's national sovereignty.
"In no case will Mexico accept foreign intervention, aggression or any other action that undermines the integrity, independence or sovereignty of the country, including acts of aggression against Mexican territory, whether on land, at sea or in the air," said President Sheinbaum.
Ms. Sheinbaum's comments were seen as a veiled rebuke of President Trump, who has repeatedly claimed that Mexico has facilitated an "invasion" of migrants into the United States.
President Donald Trump's decision to target eight Latin American drug trafficking groups - including several Mexican cartels - is the latest step in the US leader's crackdown on gangs.
Mr Trump signed an executive order on his first day back in the White House, declaring gangs “constitute a national security threat far beyond that posed by traditional organised crime”.
The move has sparked speculation that the US could take military action.
President Trump on February 1 ordered a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico and a 10% tariff on goods from China starting February 4 to address the national emergency of fentanyl and illegal immigrants entering the United States.
On February 3, Mr. Trump announced that he would suspend tariffs on Mexican imports for a month after a "very friendly" conversation with his Mexican counterpart.
Mexico has received nearly 11,000 migrants deported from the United States since January 20, when Mr. Trump took office.
Ms. Sheinbaum reached a deal with Mr. Trump to suspend tariffs on Mexican goods. In exchange, Mexico will deploy thousands of National Guard police to the northern border with the United States to further reduce the flow of migrants to the United States.
