Over the past period, Meo Vac district ( Ha Giang province) has continuously strived to implement various solutions to develop tourism, maximizing the potential and advantages of the locality. Activities ranging from upgrading infrastructure to organizing cultural events have yielded many positive results, contributing to making Meo Vac an unmissable destination on the national tourism map.
This year, the district set a target of welcoming 542,000 tourists. To date, despite the impact of natural disasters and ongoing infrastructure improvements, the number of visitors has reached approximately 490,064, equivalent to 90.42% of the target. The estimated revenue for the whole year is 318.5 billion VND, achieving 96.18% of the plan. To attract tourists , the district has implemented strong promotional activities on mass media and social networks. Tourist destinations such as the Giay ethnic cultural village in Tat Nga hamlet, the Lo Lo ethnic cultural village in Sang Pa A hamlet, etc., attract many visitors who come to explore and experience the friendly and hospitable image. In addition, Meo Vac also organizes many unique cultural events such as the Khau Vai Phong Luu Market Festival, the Lo Lo ethnic cultural festival, and folk art performances at the Meo Vac town night market. These activities not only help tourists learn more about the unique culture of the ethnic minorities but also create momentum to promote local tourism.

The district focuses on developing diverse and attractive tourism products. Community-based and eco-tourism products around the Nho Que I hydroelectric reservoir have become a highlight for tourists. Simultaneously, adventure and sports tourism tours are also being promoted. Meo Vac has also invested in building eco-resorts, creating impressive check-in points for tourists in the Tu San - Ma Pi Leng gorge, along with distinctive cultural villages. These efforts help create a rich tourism ecosystem that meets the diverse needs of visitors.
Despite achieving many successes, the district's tourism development still faces numerous challenges. Tourism infrastructure is not yet fully developed, and harsh weather conditions cause landslides and affect tourist travel. Furthermore, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values still requires the joint efforts of the local community. To further improve service quality and ensure sustainable development, the district has set out a plan for 2025 with several important directions. These include focusing on raising public awareness about tourism, building an image of a "safe, friendly, and hospitable" destination, and promoting investment in distinctive tourism products.

Comrade Ngo Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: “Tourism is not only an important economic sector of the district but also a way for Meo Vac to preserve and promote the unique cultural values of the ethnic groups here. The district will continue to prioritize upgrading infrastructure and improving service quality to bring tourists authentic and memorable experiences of Meo Vac's nature and people. To achieve such results, the district has focused on improving transportation infrastructure, organizing many unique cultural activities and festivals, and paying attention to promoting and introducing the image of Meo Vac to domestic and international tourists.”
With the concerted efforts of the local government and the support of the community, Meo Vac is gradually asserting its position on the tourism map. The district is not only a destination with majestic natural landscapes, but also a place where tourists can experience and explore the unique traditional culture of ethnic minorities. In 2025, Meo Vac will continue to improve the quality of its tourism products, build community cultural villages, and promote its image. These expectations promise to create a new wave in the district's tourism industry, attracting more tourists and bringing economic development opportunities to the locality.
