Facing compatriot Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 Vienna Open 2023 in Austria, Daniil Medvedev entered the match with aplomb and broke his opponent's first serve. The number one seed continued to maintain his advantage to win the opening set 6-3.
In set 2, Khachanov played impressively and made Medvedev lose 3-6. However, in set 3, Medvedev's class helped him win 6-3 and gain the right to enter the Vienna Open semi-finals.

The remarkable quarterfinal match between Rublev and Zverev was quite exciting. Rublev won the first set easily 6-1 but then let Zverev defeat him in the second set with a score of 7-6. In the third set, Rublev took advantage of the opportunity to break the game to win 6-4, thereby qualifying for the semi-finals.
Tsitsipas faced off against the underdog Borna Gojo, but the Greek had to work hard to win 7-6, 7-6 to reach the semi-finals. In the other quarter-final, Jannik Sinner had no trouble defeating Frances Tiafoe 6-3, 6-4, thereby putting his name in the top four.
The Vienna Open 2023 semi-finals have determined two pairs: Rublev - Sinner (8:30 p.m. on October 28) and Tsitsipas - Medvedev (7:00 p.m. on October 28).
At the ATP 500 Basel Open in Switzerland, fourth seed Hurkacz unexpectedly lost to Tallon Griekspoor in the tie-break in the first set. However, in the next two sets, the Polish player played impressively, winning back with the same score of 6-4 to qualify for the semi-finals.
Top seed Holger Rune had a tough match against weak opponent Tomas Martin Etcheverry of Argentina. Rune won the first set 6-1 but lost the second set 3-6. In the third set, Rune had a hard-fought victory over Etcheverry 7-6 to book his place in the semi-finals of the Basel Open 2023.
In the semi-finals of Basel Open 2023, Holger Rune will meet Felix Auger-Aliassime (9:30 p.m. on October 28) while Hurkacz will face French player Humbert (8:00 p.m. on October 28).
