This activity is part of the project “Rehabilitation and improvement of quality of life for children with disabilities in Quang Nam province, phase 2024-2026” implemented by Medipeace with funding from KOICA. With a total budget of more than 1.2 million USD, the project will support 1,597 children with disabilities in 4 localities: Nui Thanh, Tien Phuoc, Hiep Duc and Tam Ky.
On October 11, at Tam Ky City Medical Center (Quang Nam), Medipeace Vietnam organized a donation of 27 personal assistance tools to disabled children in the city, including: wheelchairs, standing frames, walking frames, special chairs for children with cerebral palsy, rehabilitation training support tools, school supplies, etc.

Previously, in Nui Thanh, Tien Phuoc, and Hiep Duc districts, Medipeace Vietnam presented 78 sets of these assistive devices to disabled children. To date, Medipeace Vietnam has presented 105 sets of personal assistive devices to disabled children in Quang Nam.
The project "Supporting rehabilitation and improving the quality of life for children with disabilities in Quang Nam province" for the period 2024-2026 aims to improve rehabilitation conditions for children with disabilities and the quality of life for their families through a sustainable community-based rehabilitation model.
With a total budget of more than 1.2 million USD, implemented in 4 districts of Quang Nam: Nui Thanh, Tien Phuoc, Hiep Duc and Tam Ky, the project will support 1,597 disabled children in these 4 localities.
During the 2021-2023 period, the project established 12 commune-level rehabilitation rooms in 4 districts; provided assistive devices for 620 children with disabilities; provided a total of 11,379 rehabilitation interventions for children with disabilities; supported housing improvements for 120 households with disabilities...
In the 2024-2026 period, 11 components will be implemented, such as supporting the organization of community connection events to enhance the rights of people with disabilities; supporting the activities of the Disability Working Group; organizing programs to raise community awareness of disability.
In addition, the project also supports rehabilitation equipment and assistive devices for children with disabilities; supports improving housing and living conditions for children with disabilities; supports the operation of rehabilitation rooms at the commune level and the "rehabilitation examination" program.
